The Biblical doctrine of grace alone for salvation is the second of the Five Solas which the Reformers upheld to the death.
In this part two of our Reformation Month, Pastor Daniel Kriss preaches this message entitled “Sola Gracia: The First Pillar of the Reformation”. Beginning by adding to our growing glossary of historical Reformation terms, the definition of the term “grace” is then expounded, including an overview of of what grace is not, as well as an explanation of common grace, salvific grace, and sanctifying grace as separate concepts. Overarching all of these is the reality that Jesus Christ is God’s supreme manifestation of grace.
