The command in Hebrews 12:1-2 in this race we are running is to look away from everything else, and instead to look intently on Someone, the One who is the founder and perfecter of our faith. It is when we are looking to Christ’s atoning work, His joy, His perseverance, and His majesty and sufficiency, that our race will be run for His glory!
