Continuing our theme of service for the Lord, Pastor Daniel Kriss brings us this sermon entitled “Prerequisites to Service”. Beginning by noting that God’s pattern is salvation – surrender – service, and asking the crucial question “What am I to BE, before I proceed to DO?”, Daniel then draws our attention to four areas as set out in Romans 12:1 – we must be a member of God’s family, we must be motivated by the mercies of God, we must be living in active, continuous surrender, and we must be set apart to God – pursuing a life of holiness. This challenging and sobering message illumines the seriousness and importance of our position in Christ, the motives for our actions, and the direction of our lives as privileged servants of the Most High God.
